Last year’s event at Westworld Scottsdale drew the largest crowd nationwide for a single day’s polo tournament. This year promises an even larger crowd. With an expanded schedule, more sponsors and vendors, and an impressive line-up of polo’s leading players, Westworld Scottsdale is expecting a crowd of up to 15,000 at the 3rd Annual Polo Championships.
The event is taking place on November 1st and 2nd. The first day will feature an all-star match followed by a fashion show presented by Phoenix Fashion Week. The show will include equestrian-inspired clothing. On the second day, fans will be treated to three exhilarating matches. First will be USA High School Champions Work to Ride vs. University of Virginia, the 2012 College Champions. Next will be a Battle of the Sexes: the USA Women’s All-Star Team vs. the men of the Arizona Polo Club. Finally, the Clogau Wales Polo Team will go up against the United States Military Polo Club.
Attending just for the cars? This year’s event will feature the 2013 Arizona Porsche Concours d’Elegance car show. Fans will also get a sneak preview of this year’s Barrett Jackson Auto Auction and the Westworld Scottsdale Arabian Horseshow.
