The Troon Country Club has a significant waitlist for golf memberships, similar to other clubs in North Scottsdale. There are a total of 300 golf memberships and 250 social memberships. Applicants for a golf membership can currently expect to wait 3-4 years for a full membership. The cost of a full golf membership at Troon Country Club is increasing from $150,000 to $200,000 in January, 2025. This is a similar initiation fee to other golf clubs in the area. Once golf applicants go through the application process and are approved, the applicant pays the full golf membership initiation fee and are given limited sport social access while waiting to get off the waitlist. There is no membership transfer with a real estate purchase, unlike Silverleaf, Desert Highlands, Estancia, and Desert Mountain where this is possible.
The waitlist for a social membership at Troon Country Club is now only 4-6 months. This is a big improvement over the last few years when the waitlist was so long, the club declined to even take new applications. The social membership is currently $60,000 initiation and dues of $690/month. Social members have access to the restaurant, bar, fitness center, tennis, pickleball, and limited golf privileges during the summer.
