Affordable Golf Memberships at Terravita

Terravita is an excellent choice for golfers seeking a entirely private club in Scottsdale, at an affordable price point. North Scottsdale has some of the most expensive golf clubs in the West. Terravita is located amongst these world class golf clubs with the same stunning scenery and proximal to all of the North Scottsdale restaurants, resorts and shopping. Originally developed by Del Webb, many people mistakenly think it is a retirement community. Instead, it is a thriving all ages-community with a private country club and golf club. A social membership is mandatory for all homeowners and is $12,000 at the time of home purchase. The golf membership is separate and optional at $85,000.

The country club has approximately 2600 members but most are seasonal so the club rarely feels busy. Most members come and go throughout the year so the amenities are very accessible. February and March are the busiest months of the year, when reservations in the dining room are recommended. The clubhouse was extensively renovated 8 years ago with modern amenities. The club offers tennis, fitness, pools, pickle ball, restaurant and bar. It is very sociable with over 60 different clubs that members can join. The outdoor seating at the restaurant has spectacular views across the golf course and Black Mountain. There is a wide variety of activities and parties at the club. There is no food or beverage minimum.

Golf memberships are available to both residents and non-residents. For non-residents, the golf membership includes the restaurant, bar, and everything golf. It does not include any of the events or other amenities. The golf course was renovated 4 years ago by Paul Smith. In May, Terravita reached their cap of 315 golf members. Within that 315 cap, there is a total of up to 90 non-resident golf memberships, and there are currently 65 sold. The golf waitlist is expected to be approximately 18 months to 2 years. The cost to join the waitlist is $21,250. Terravita offers a great benefit of limited access to golf, while on the waitlist, which sets it apart from other clubs. During your time on the Terravita waitlist you can participate in the men’s and ladies’ leagues enabling you to play golf once per week throughout the year. The waitlist has a 2 year sunset period so if anyone is on the waitlist for more than 2 years and decides to leave, the fee is fully refundable.
