Starfire Golf Club Goes Green

The Starfire Golf Club, located at Scottsdale Country Club, is a great place to enjoy outstanding golf at a reasonable price. On April 22nd, Starfire Golf Club celebrated Earth Day by initiating its Waste Management’s total recycling program. They have made 70 percent of their waste recyclable and hope in the future to recycle food scraps and grass clippings. Starfire Golf Club was the first Scottsdale golf course to implement such a program and to take the first steps toward going greener.

This daily-fee club features three 9-hole courses designed by Arnold Palmer: the King, the Hawk and the Squire. The King and the Squire were existing layouts that Arnold Palmer redesigned. The courses are lined with cottonwood, pine and eucalyptus trees against a backdrop of beautiful homes and the McDowell Mountains in the distance.

Tee times at Starfire Golf Club are incredibly affordable, with prices as low as $25 this month. Those willing to brave the afternoon sun will get the lowest prices on tee times. The club also features a grille and pro shop. The Scottsdale Grille offers breakfast and lunch for golfers sitting down after a thrilling round or for guests just wanting to enjoy a classic American meal. The Golf Pro Shop offers a selection of top-of-the-line apparel, accessories and equipment.
