Did you know that Scottsdale homes nearly top the list for places to raise your family in Arizona?
Following behind Oro Valley just north of Tuscon, Scottsdale was named the 2nd best Arizona city for young families by finance website NerdWallet. What makes Scottsdale homes so wonderful for families? Along from being rated one of the safest cities in the U.S. by recent reports, Scottsdale has excellent school districts, an upscale yet affordable lifestyle and high growth and income.
The list is made up of 64 different Arizona communities, rated with specific criteria in mind. These include the academic performance of the area’s schools, median home values, median household income, monthly homeowner costs, and economic growth.
According to NerdWallet, schools such as Arcadia High School in Scottsdale have been given top honors by the state of Arizona. The state recently released letter grades to schools, measuring the academic performance and improvement of students based on Arizona’s Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) test. Arcadia received a “B.”
Scottsdale homes have a median value of $430,000, the highest among the list of communities, with monthly homeowner costs at $2,133. The median household income in Scottsdale is $71, 816. Only two other communities ranked higher in median household income.
Scottsdale consistently receives “best city” awards and accolades, and this is just another to add to the list.
