The Phoenix real estate market continues its steady improvement as the number of luxury Phoenix homes for sale grows. In early April, we saw 2,267 homes listed at $500,000 or more. According to housing analysts.
Mike Orr, this marked a 3 percent increase from the previous month.
This year also promises fewer short sale listings and foreclosures. The number of short sales on Phoenix homes priced above $500,000 has dropped since April 2012 from 182 to 90. This year, only 13 luxury Phoenix homes were lender-owned, as opposed to last year’s 47. Out of the 462 Phoenix homes listed at more than $2 million, only one was lender-owned.
Last March, 266 Phoenix homes priced at more than $500,000 sold. This year, that number was up to 305. Though analysts feared that the Phoenix luxury market would take nearly a decade to recover, the numbers show that it is bouncing back much faster than expected.
