If you have an aspiring Junior golfer in the family, you will want to know about this great golf opportunity for kids. The Drive, Chip and Putt Championship is a national tournament with finals to be held at the Augusta National Golf Club. This free competition will be held at Troon North Golf Club and is open to girls and boys age 7-15 nationwide. The deadline to register for the 2014 Drive, Chip and Putt Championship at Troon North in Scottsdale is fast approaching. All applications must be submitted to the championship’s website by Tuesday, April 30. The tournament will culminate in a free trip to the Augusta National Golf Club for the finale on April 6, 2014.
In the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship, juniors will compete in each of the three skills and be scored on a 25-point-per-shot basis. The competition will be held with four separate age divisions: 7-9 years, 10-11 years, 12-13 years and 14-15 years. Juniors of all skill levels are welcomed and encouraged to enter, though participation will be limited. Entries will be considered for local qualifying through a random drawing.
The Drive, Chip and Putt Championship is sponsored by the United States Golf Association, the PGA of America and the Masters Tournament Foundation. Time is running out, so if your child is a golf prodigy, don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity!
