Golf Channel has recently announced the location for the 2014 Amateur Tour National Championships – beautiful Scottsdale! The championship event for the largest amateur tour worldwide will be held at Grayhawk Golf Club and Talking Stick Golf Club, two of Scottsdale’s premier golf venues. This is the first time Scottsdale has hosted this highly celebrated event, and excitement is quickly building among golf enthusiasts in the area.
The 2014 Golf Channel Am Tour National Championships will be held September 8th through the 18th. Amateur golfers of all ages will compete for a spot in the final event through season-long rankings in their local tours. The event itself will be split into two divisions. The traditional National Championship will take place September 8-12 and will include participants below the age of 50. The Senior Championships for ages 50 and up will take place September 14-18. Rounds will be played on the Raptor and Talon courses at Grayhawk Golf Club and the North Course and South Course at Talking Stick Golf Club.
After play, golfers will be able to retire to the Talking Stick Resort and Casino in Scottsdale. The resort will be hosting activities and events throughout tournament week for participants and their families to enjoy.
