Buying a New Home vs a Resale

Are you dreaming of a brand new home? You aren’t alone. A large number of home shoppers in Scottsdale would prefer a newly built home, over a resale. There are many advantages to a new construction home.

1. More modern floor plans – Most new homes are built with wide-open floor plans. Gone are the days of choppy small kitchens cut off from the rest of the home or distinct formal dining rooms. These days the floor plans tend to have large great rooms that incorporate the kitchen, living, and dining areas.
2. More energy efficient – The walls, insulation, roof and air conditioners are much more energy efficient now.
3. Save money on replacement costs down the road – Buying a new home means that you will have less ongoing maintenance and replacement costs during the first several years. When you purchase a resale, it is possible that you may to have to replace costly HVAC, water heaters, appliances, pool equipment or do roof repairs.
