Bocce Ball has become extremely popular at Desert Mountain Club, ranking as the second most favored activity after golf. The Spring Bocce Ball league boasts over 1100 members. It is an enjoyable and social game that members appreciate, as they can relax with drinks, food, and friends. Participants can sign up for Bocce Ball as individuals, couples, or as part of a team, which usually consists of 8-15 players. During the registration process, members choose their preferred playing day, and their priority will depend on their ranking from the previous season. Each team competes once a week for a duration of 8 weeks. There are Bocce courts located at three different sites within Desert Mountain: the Seven, Outlaw, and Sonoran Clubhouses. The league matches are held at either the Seven or Outlaw locations.

The atmosphere for Bocce on the mountain is very relaxed. A typical player can be seen holding a drink in one hand while tossing the ball with the other. Apparently the secret to playing a great game of Bocce is a Cabernet Sauvignon first. The competition is friendly, with many participants prioritizing social interaction over the game itself.
