The WM Phoenix Open is more than just a good time. The tournament earned its nickname “The Greatest Show on Grass” because it is such a fun and popular event to attend. Last year over 655,000 people attended the Phoenix Open and it was the most well attended PGA 
tournament of the year. It has gained legendary status among the PGA events. However, the Phoenix Open is also an incredibly successful fundraiser for the Phoenix Thunderbirds who run the show. Each year the Thunderbirds are able to support our community because of the funds raised at the Open. Since 2010, the Thunderbirds have raised $86 Million for Arizona charities. In 2017 they broke their own record and raised over $10 Million for local charities in a single year. The mission of Thunderbirds Charities is to assist children and families, help people in need and improve the quality of life in our communities.
