Get ready for the 10th annual Tour de Scottsdale, presented by Lexus and hosted by the DC Ranch Community Council. This exciting event is drawing cyclists from all over the Valley and will be benefiting the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy, an organization dedicated to the management and care of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Don’t miss your chance to register for this popular ride, which starts out of Market Street in DC Ranch on Sunday, October 13.
Riders can register for one of two courses. The short route is a brisk 30-mile loop to Carefree and back, taking cyclists through the scenic roads of North Scottsdale with a lengthy but gradual climb up Scottsdale Road. Race the clock for time or opt for a more leisurely ride with great views. Or you can test your endurance with the 70-mile long route. The 70-mile begins along the same course as the short route but deviates for an extra loop through Troon and past the McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Cyclists will then head south to Shea Boulevard before returning to DC Ranch. All riders will be tracked and timed, and results will be posted online after the ride.
Registration will continue until the day of the event. Riders can pick up their packets the day prior to the ride or at 5 a.m. the day of. The long ride begins at 6:30 a.m., and the short ride begins at 6:50 a.m.
DC Ranch has been hosting the Tour de Scottsdale for a decade. This momentous event serves as a way for athletes to enjoy the beauty of North Scottsdale. It also promotes local businesses and raises money for the protection of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.
